The MSW (Master of Social Work) is a 2-year full-time postgraduate program under Mahatma Gandhi University, designed to produce skilled, ethical, and professional social workers. The course blends theory, research, and intensive fieldwork, preparing students to work in diverse sectors such as mental health, medical and psychiatric social work, rural and urban community development, corporate social responsibility, and policy advocacy.
MSW under MGU follows a choice-based credit and semester system (CBCSS) and offers specializations in the second year.
A Bachelorβs degree in Social Work (BSW) or any other degree from a recognized university with minimum marks as prescribed by MGU.
